His heart was thumping as if it was knocking and the knocking was hard enough he almost answered the door. The sweat was cold and he felt once again the feeling he felt so many years ago when he first had this dream; FEAR.

The fear kept rising in Bill’s mind and his heart began to race faster. The dream was as real today as it had felt just thirteen years ago. That very dream had become a reality at the discovery of his wife’s body, lying there in their bedroom floor, a mutilated and bloody mess. Bill was in shock at the feeling of déjà vu that day and he felt hopeless as though he could have done something to stop this. Now, after all these years, why was the dream happening again?

Bill had awoken for the past four nights to this very same dream, in the exact same physical and mental state he was currently in. There was no understanding as to why he was having this dream again but he felt as though there was something to it, like a foreshadowing into the past, if that was possible. Was the dream brought on by guilt? Was it brought on by some bad food or just his subconscious trying to tell him something? After all these years, Bill still believed he could have done something to prevent himself from losing his family; his wife and unborn child which he only found out about after his wife’s death.
