Interservice Physician Assistant Program Class 2-11

Alright... Hello again everyone. I know I haven't been on in a while and it is for a very specific reason... In August of 2010, I was selected for the United States Military's Interservice Physician Assistant Program that is taught at Fort Sam Houston, TX. The program is a 29 month program that affords students selected from all branches of the military the opportunity to earn both a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in the biological and medical sciences of Physician Assistant Studies (BSPAS & MPAS). The degree is conferred by the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln, NE. The courses are instructed by experts in the fields of biochemistry, microbiology, anatomy & physiology, and all of the clinical practices of medicine. It is a grueling course that spans 29 months and students learn the same amount of material that other medical students take 6+ years to learn. This is a fast paced program that takes up the majority of my time but I am now going to strive to write a little bit every day about the rigors of the program as well as the courses that are involved in the program. It is my hope that those wishing to apply for this program can gain some insight into what it takes to put together a packet and the process after selection. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will answer any questions I can and am allowed to.
