Destroy Migraines (Migraine Headache Treatment)
70Destroy Migraines (Migraine Headache Treatment)
This is a Quick Hit Hub on migraine headache information and a formula that I use to help destroy migraines. However, I must first explain my history with migraine headaches.
As a young kid, around the age of 8, I experienced my first migraine headache. This headache was so severe that I was vomiting and was very dizzy. I could not bear the pain and it was so bad, my school called my mother to come pick me up. The headache persisted no matter what I did. I was told to sleep it off but that did not work either. I had this migraine for 2 days straight before my mother decided it would be best for me to go see a doctor. When I went to the doctor, he was dumbfounded by the possibility of an 8 year old having a migraine headache. He did, however, treat me with some medication: Phenegrine and 1000mg of Tyelenol. You see, back then, in 1990, that was the meds that they gave for migraines, at least to me. The treatment did not work but finally after 4 total days of having the migraine, I was able to get over it and I was fine. Then, I had another episode after having some respiratory problems and dehydration. I was taken to my doctor again and he ordered a battery of tests to include CT Scan and MRI. Everything turned up normal and an official diagnosis of migraine was given. I had problems off and on every year since, usually with migraines occurring 2-3 times per year. Each episode usually causes numbness on the left side of my body, particularly in my face, arm, hands, and sometimes the left side of my torso… I have even went blind for the period of the migraine in my left eye. I had 3 episodes in my 9 month deployment to Afghanistan with 2 of the migraines being treated with phenegrine and morphine. Since being in Iraq the 6 months I have been here this time, I have had 3 migraine headaches already with attempted treatment with Midrin (Imitrex) and another treatment with a cocktail of phenegrine, benedryl, and some other medication that I cannot remember the name of. These treatments somewhat worked but I did not and still do not want to rush to the doctor every time I have a migraine. So, I have come up with my own cocktail of medication for the migraines.
Excedrin Migraine
Tylenol Extra Stength Rapid Release Gels
Migraine Headache Treatment
I take one Excederin Migraine pill which contains 250mg or Acetaminophen, 250mg of Aspirin, and 65mg of Caffeine; I take a Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release which contains another 500mg of Acetaminophen, and 600mg of Ibuprofen. The Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Release is for quick acting pain relief purposes. The other 250mg in the Excederin is for follow-on pain relief as is the 250mg of Aspirin which along with the 65mg of caffeine thins the blood in the vessels within the brain to help speed along the blood and keep it from “gelling” causing cramped vessels. The 600mg of ibuprofen is for the possible inflammation of tissue within the brain cavity which could be causing pressure and undue pressure on the brain. This cocktail has worked fairly efficient for me and is always the one I go for now when I have a migraine… However, if it does not work, I head to the doc for whatever cocktail he gives me.
So, if you have a migraine, give this cocktail a try… It works.
