Top 10 Christmas Songs of All Time

Well, here it is... Christmas. With the holidays approaching so fast, I have assembled my list of the Top 10 Christmas Songs of All Time. I hope you enjoy... Let me know what your favorites are.

10. I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas by Bing Crosby. This is a classic Christmas song that you hear religiously at Christmas time... Sometimes 3 or 4 times a day.

9. Angels We Have Heard on High by various. Another classic that I don't feel gets enough play time.

8. Christmas Cannon by Trans Siberian Orchestra. Relatively new but soon to be classic. I can't get enough of this song.

7. Bring Him Home Santa. Very touching song in which a little girl sings requesting that Santa brings her Daddy home who is working far away. It means a lot to me when I hear it because I think of my little girl singing the song... Brings a tear to my eye. I almost want to move this one up further but because of the sadness it puts in my heart, I have to leave it at number 7 for now. If you haven't heard it, here it is for you at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5leMiif4pM

6. It Came Upon a Midnight Clear by Josh Groban. This is the first song by Josh Groban that will appear on this list. His Noel album is a wonderful and well done album. This version of this song came out extremely well and sounds amazing with a slight variation from the original song.

5. Silent Night by MercyMe. This is a great version of Silent Night with a slightly upbeat tempo. This song comes from MercyMe's Christmas Sessions album which is also an amazing album. A great update to this classic Christmas Carol

4. Believe by Josh Groban. The 2nd of 3 songs by Josh Groban to appear on this list. Another great song that teaches us a valuable lesson... Just believe.

3. Christmas Shoes by Newsong. This song is a very touching Christmas song that reminds us about the true meaning of Christmas. Newsong did an amazing job with this song. My wife bawls her eyes out every time she hears this song. An instant Christmas classic with meaning.

2. Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth by David Bowie and Bing Crosby. This song is an amazing song that combined 2 very different styles wonderfully. The Little Drummer Boy was my favorite song ever and when you combine with David Bowie singing Peace on Earth and Bing Crosby singing The Little Drummer boy, it meshes together for a wonderful "feel good" song.

1. O Holy Night by Josh Groban. This has to be the Josh Groban version of this song. It is by far the greatest carol ever and the Christmas song with the most meaning about Christmas. It specifically spells out the true meaning of Christmas... It's a holy night in which Christ came to begin his journey to save us from our sins. Josh Groban's amazing voice combined with the orchestra makes this the best Christmas song ever.

Do you agree with me on this? Do you have your own opinion or favorites? Please, reply to this post and let me know what you think.
